Mercedes aka Mekeke is a professional Polynesian dancer based out of Southern California. From an early age, she was mesmerized by the beauty of Hula and the Tahitian culture. Her passion grew, therefore, she started dancing at a young age. Mercedes began her dance journey with Nonosina at just 8 years old, she continued her Tahitian training with numerous award-winning dance groups in Southern California and Hawai'i.

 

She is a college graduate from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a BA in Communications with a focus on the Entertainment Industry. While she was attending school, she worked in the famous Star Of Honolulu Dinner Cruise performing nightly for tourists around the world. She is a competitive Tahitian dancer and has participated and competed in numerous Tahitian competitions nationwide winning numerous awards.

 

Today as part of her career, she continues to dance Polynesian professionally in Southern California while spreading her love for dance.
